2020 – what a year!

With it came sheltering in place, causing a heightened awareness of our surroundings. Whether you became an expert banana bread maker spending hours in your kitchen or all of a sudden your powder room needed a makeover – everyone needed some change. We are redefining how we relate to our space, and that is definitely being showcased in the 2021 Kitchen & Bathroom Trends.

As everyone breathes a sigh of relief that 2020 has come to a close, we are still faced with the spread of COVID-19. The design world continues to be affected– forcing new forms of communication with clients, and slowing down the supply chain. According to NKBA, “Telecommuting is a factor, with many of those people who are doing this now saying that they expect to do so in some form for the foreseeable future. As the economy reopens and a vaccine is employed all over the world, some of these obstacles will resolve themselves, but it is still a challenging environment.”

Although the world has been on pause, new trends have continued to populate. As we leave 2020 in the past and move into this new year, it’s time to start exploring upcoming trends of 2021 (and why not given how much time we’ll be spending in our homes!) Each week we’ll dive into the following trends:
